New Plugin Architecture
MC2 plugins now contain much more info than MC1 plugins did. From now on data like author, homepage, reflink, PTC name and version are stored encrypted in the .site file. This database heavily relies on those, because when uploaded, the plugins get decrypted on the server and the info is used to fill out the plugin pages here.
Posting plugins
Everything a coder has to do now is ensuring that all data is entered in their .site file when creating the plugin. When uploading a plugin, optionally Tags can be assigned to them
Tagging
When uploading a new plugin to the database, authors can add tags (seperated by comma) to their plugins wich also get indexed by the search function. This makes it easier to find plugins (like tagging them with "instant payout, ads only"). After the plugin has been posted, other registered users are also allowed to add tags to them.
No edit/delete
Authors cant edit/delete plugins anymore. This is needed because of the new "Toplist" feature (explained later).
Post new versions
Do not try to edit your old plugin. Just create a new one instead. The frontpage features a digg-like system for plugins and if your plugin doesn´t work anymore it will get negative score. Updating it will not reset the score so it would still have negative score then.
If you updated a plugin, make sure you have also changed its version number, otherwise it will get denied as duplicate of the previous versions. This is now obligatory to make versioning easier and more reliable. You should also write a comment to your old plugin that there is a new version available.
Plugin Management
Toplist
The toplist is a digg like feature wich shows plugins sorted b y their score. Each user can rate a plugin (Thumbs up/down). Old, outdated plugins will get a negative score this way and be buried down deep.
To avoid having some very popular taking all the high ranks all the time, new plugins get a chance to be shown on the frontpage in the "Top rated plugins ( less than 7 days old )" - list.
Plugins with extremely low score might get deleted after some time
